The GNEC Main Street Pitch-Off is a platform designed to give motivated entrepreneurs an opportunity to fine-tune your business pitch and receive coaching. Only 15 lucky applicants will be selected and will be provided with invaluable guidance and mentorship throughout the process. The selected applicants will have the chance to network with professionals and gain exposure for their business.

Applications:

Mark your calendar! The deadline for applications is September 8th, 2023. Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this exclusive event that promises to unlock doors to success. The application process involves submitting a form that describes your business. The selection committee will review all entries thoroughly and select 15 applicants for the GNEC Main Street Pitch-Off. There will be a waitlist.

Preparation and Pitching:

Once selected, the 15 chosen applicants will have the opportunity to perfect their pitches with a panel of judges. The judge-entrepreneur relationship will not only strengthen your presentation skills but also allow you to gain insights into various aspects of running a successful business. You will be equipped with the confidence to deliver a compelling pitch that captures the attention of investors and industry experts. Each selected applicant must be available to pitch in person on Wednesday, October 25th, from 5:30-8:30 PM and join at least two virtual coaching sessions.

GNEC is proud to announce the participation of two esteemed coaches: Victor Salama, Executive Director of the Greater Newark Enterprises Corporation (GNEC), and C.J. Meenan, Co-founder of XP Startup Labs. These experienced professionals possess a wealth of knowledge in the entrepreneurial sphere. With their guidance, you will refine your pitch, fine-tune your presentation skills, and learn the art of effectively engaging potential investors.
